Specialized Programs

In an effort to continually grow, NDA Behavioral Health has developed specialized clinical services for children, adolescents and adults that present with unusual symptoms that do not easily fit into traditional models of care.

Among the unique populations that we work with are:

  • Deaf-blind children, adolescents and adults
  • Hearing and Deaf individuals who present with treatment resistant behaviors
  • Multiple neurological disorders
  • Adolescents and adults dually-diagnosed with psychiatric and addiction disorders
  • CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults)
  • KODAs (Kids of Deaf Adults)
  • SODAs (Siblings of Deaf Adults and Children)

Many of the individuals in these specialized programs require a higher level of supervision due to their complex needs. Specialized levels of supervision are available to these individuals at the National Deaf Academy.
