NDA Behavioral Health hosts NDA Community Advisory Board Meeting
National Deaf Academy Behavioral Health System hosted its semi-annual Community Advisory Board Meeting on December 14, 2011. In an effort to continue strengthening the relationship with its local surrounding areas, NDA invited several active members of Mt. Dora and Lake County to learn more about what took place in 2011 and what is planned for 2012, as well as to share updates from each members respective organizations.
As Chief Executive Officer of NDA Behavioral Health, and Chairman of the Community Advisory Board, Deana Goldstein was proud to host; Linda Giacomb of Lifestream Behavioral Health, Stephanie Haimes of the Mt. Dora Library, Beth Miller, Director of the Mt. Dora Center of the Arts, Rabbi Solomon of the Traditional Congregation of Mt. Dora, Jon Cherry, Chief Executive Officer of Lifestream Behavioral Health, Dale Lind, President of Waterman Village, and newly appointed Mayor Bob Thielhelm. Member of the Community Advisory Board for two years, this was Mayor Thielhelm’s first meeting as Mayor of Mt. Dora.
The agenda featured conversation discussing NDA’s recent accreditation as a recognized facility under TRICARE, giving NDA the ability to work with Active Duty soldiers and their dependents from across the United States.
“We are proud to have the ability to serve the Active Duty Military and their families,” said Deana Goldstein, CEO.
The board also discussed changes to the programming at NDA in addition to their marketing materials and websites.
“We are very excited to introduce the new look of NDA Behavioral Health System,” said Joey Trapani, Business Development Director.
“Before the end of the year we look to launch a brand new website, and new line of marketing materials focusing on our strong programming for the Deaf and Autistic communities, and highlighting our ability to work with individuals who can hear, and are in need of Mental Health services.”
NDA Behavioral Health Community Advisory Board meets semi-annually on campus in Mt. Dora, FL. This marked the sixth meeting of the group.
